RTE Admission Process
Students from economically weaker sections are guaranteed free seats from class 1 to 8 in the RTE Act, 2009. The seats are in 334 unaided, non minority schools at kindergarten or class 1. They will be reimbursed by the government.
Seats were allotted in the second round by drawing an online lottery on Saturday. Around 1,661 were allotted admissions to 2,302 seats.
Among them, 705 seats are pre-primary and 956 for class 1, including state board and non state schools.
“This year, more students had applied for the RTE seats because of increased awareness,” said Mahesh Palkar, education officer, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) that conducts the admissions.
Out of the 7,449 seats available at the beginning of the RTE admission process in February, 1,996 were filled in the first round.

** Step1: check students details of all the classes in which RTE students are studying one by one.
** Step 2: Verify class in which student is studying in , modify the class if change is required.
** Step 3: Select ‘Yes’ button to update student continued in 2014-15, Select ‘No’ if student is not continued in 2014-15 in your School.
** Repeat the above 3 steps for the remaining all Classes in which RTE students are studying.
Class 1 RTE Students details- (Class 1 rte students promoted from UKG and Taken Admission in 2014-15) Enter STS Numbers of each student to fetch data and add, repeat the process till you enter all students data of that Class and then save .
