Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2023 – Declaration of Result of Computer Based Examination to shortlist candidates for PET/ PST for the post of Havaldar. Staff Selection Commission conducted Computer Based Examination of Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2023 from 01.09.2023 to 14.09.2023 at different centers all over the country.

As the Computer Based Examination was conducted in multiple shifts, marks scored by candidates have been normalized as per the formula published by the Commission on its website vide Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07.02.2019. As per the provision under Para-18.7, for the post of Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) candidates have been shortlisted for appearing PET/ PST based on their normalized scores of Session-II in CBE.

As per the guidelines mentioned under Para-17 of the Notice of Examination, candidates have been considered for selection against the vacancies of only those Post-cum-CCAs for which they have given their preference in their online Application Form.

As per Para 18 of the Notice of Examination and Corrigendum-II dated 01.11.2023, candidates have been shortlisted for PET/ PST based on their Performance in Session-II of CBE. The candidates, who did not qualify in Session-I of CBE were not eligible for evaluation of Session-II. Minimum qualifying marks in Session-I as well as Session-II of Computer Based Examination are as follows:
UR : 30%
OBC/ EWS : 25%
All other categories : 20%

The candidates who fail to qualify PET/ PST will not be considered for the post of Havaldar in the final result. However, if such candidates get shortlisted for the post of MTS, their candidature will remain valid for the post of MTS. Final result for both the posts i.e. MTS and Havaldar will be declared together at later stage after completion of PET/ PST for the post of Havaldar.

Category-wise and CCA wise cut-off details in CBE for the post of Havaldar are as given in Annexure-I.

As per the tie resolution criteria mentioned in the Para-19 of the Notice of Examination and Corrigendum-I dated 01.09.2023, in cases where more than one candidate secured equal aggregate marks in Session-II, tie has been resolved by applying the following methods one after another in the given order till the tie is resolved:
(i) Marks in General Awareness of Session-II.
(ii) Total normalized marks in Session-I.
(iii) Date of birth i.e. the candidate older in age gets preference.
(iv) Alphabetical order of the names.

** The schedule of PET/PST for the posts of Havaldar will be available on the website of the Commission in due course.
** Representations received from the candidates with regard to the Answer Keys have been carefully examined and the Answer Keys have been modified wherever necessary. The final Answer Keys have been used for evaluation.
** Final Answer Keys and marks of the qualified/non-qualified candidates will be uploaded on the website of the Commission after declaration of the final result of the examination.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Walking
Male – 1600 meters in 15 minutes.
Female – 1 Km in 20 minutes

A women candidate, who as a result of tests is found to be pregnant of 12 weeks standing or over, shall be declared temporarily unfit and her candidature will be held in abeyance until the confinement is over. Vacancies against temporary unfit candidates will be kept unfilled in the final result.

Such female candidates will be re-examined for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) six weeks after the date of confinement, subject to the production of medical certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner. If found fit, they may be appointed against the vacancies kept reserved for and allowed the benefit of seniority in accordance with the instructions of the government, as amended from time to time.
