Evaluation System
The system of evaluation at the TNOU consists of the following
i) Continuous Assesment mainly through Assignments/Project Work, where applicable.
ii) Term–End Examinations
As per the prevailing instructional system at the University students are required to write one assignment per Course (except those who pursue Certificate Programmes) Assignments carry 25% of the total weightage.
Students shall submit their assignments to the Learning Resource Centres concerned prior to submission of examination application to write the Term End Examination. (Where Practical Work/Session is compulsary, students are to attend to them before they appear for the Examinations). It is a good idea to keep duplicate copies of assignment responses.
Term End Examinations carrying 75% weightage (except Certificate Programmes) are conducted at various Examination Centres all over the State in June / July for the Academic Year batch and in December/January for the Calendar Year batch. The duration of the Examination will be 3.00 hours.
Note: Students of Certificate Programmes are not required to write any assignments. They must, however, appear for the Term-End Examinations for 100 marks, except CTPM (706)
Admission Counselling
The admission to the provisionally selected candidates for B.Ed. Special Education and allotment of Study Centres will be made by the respective Zonal Centres at the time of admission.
The B.Ed.Spl.Ed.Admission Counselling Dates at respective Zonal Centres will be intimated through TNOU website.
The candidates should bring the following Original certificates and Photostat copies during the Admission Counselling.
** Call Letter
** Entrance Examination Mark Statement (Original)
** Entrance Examination Hall Ticket (Original)
** Admission Forms from tnou.ac.in
** Permanent Community Certificate.
** Medical Certificate to be produced by Physically Handicapped / Government ID card.
** Ex-servicemen Certificate.
** 10th +2, UG / PG Mark statements, Provisional / Convocation Certificates.
** Certificates for Weightage Criteria (NCC/NSS/Sports, Disability related).
** Any other relevant document.
