IIT JEE Advanced Joint Entrance Examination 2020, Seat Allotment Round 1 Result has announced.

How To Check Result?

Just follow the simple steps mentioned below to know the result of Seat Allotment Round 1.

Steps:
Step-1 : Go to the link https://josaa.nic.in/
Step-2 : Enter the JEE(Main) 2020 Application Number
Step-3 : Enter the Password
Step-4 : Enter the Security Pin
Step-5 : Submit the “Login” button.

Important Instructions

** Confidentiality of Password is solely the responsibility of the candidate and all care must be taken to protect the password.
** Candidates must take a printout of the final locked choices for submission during reporting.
** For security reasons, after finishing your work, kindly click the LOGOUT button and close all the windows related to your session.
** Candidates are advised to keep changing the Password at frequent intervals.
** Never share your password and do not respond to any mail which asks you for your Login-ID/Password. NIC does not request for such information by email.

Joint Seat Allocation

** The seats across IITs, NITs, IIITs and other Govt. Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) will be offered and allocated through a common process by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
** All the candidates who are eligible for admission will have to participate in the joint seat allocation process by filling in their preferential choices of the courses and institutes.
** The detailed instructions for filling-in the choices and the seat allotment procedure will be made available by JoSAA through Seat Allotment Business Rules Brochure.
** The schedule of the joint seat allocation will be announced separately by JoSAA 2020.
** The list of courses that will be offered by the IITs for admission for the academic year 2020-21will be made available at the time of online filling-in of choices.

Question : I was offered a seat in an IIT during JoSAA 2019, but I neither paid seat acceptance fee nor reported to any IIT reporting centre. Am I eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2020?
Answer: Yes, you are eligible to write JEE (Advanced) 2020, provided you also satisfy all other eligibility criteria.

Question : I was offered a seat in an IIT during JoSAA 2019, I paid seat acceptance fee, reported to an IIT reporting centre and later withdrew before the last round of seat allotment. Am I eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2020?
Answer: Yes, you are eligible to write JEE (Advanced) 2020, provided you also satisfy all other eligibility criteria.

Question : I was offered a seat in an IIT during JoSAA 2019, I paid seat acceptance fee, reported to an IIT reporting centre and received the “Document Verification-cum-Seat Acceptance Letter”, but I did not join my allotted program at the admitting IIT. Am I eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2020?
Answer: No. You are not eligible to write JEE (Advanced) 2020.

Question : I took admission in an IIT program on the basis of JEE (Advanced) 2019. However, I did not continue with the program and left the program. Am I eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2020?
Answer: No. You are not eligible to write JEE (Advanced) 2020.

Question : I accepted a seat through JoSAA 2019 and did not withdraw from JoSAA before the last round of seat allotment. Am I eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2020?
Answer: If you have accepted a seat in an IIT and did not withdraw from the allotted seat in the IIT then you are NOT eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2020. However, if you have accepted a seat in NITs/IIITs/Other GFTIs (i.e. any institution other than an IIT) through JoSAA 2019 then you are eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2020, provided you satisfy all other eligibility criteria.

Question : I have taken admission in one of the IITs for preparatory course in 2019. Am I eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2020?
Answer: Yes. You are eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2020, provided you satisfy all other eligibility criteria.
