UPSC Combined Geo ‐ Scientist (Preliminary) Exam Result
On the basis of the result of the Combined Geo‐Scientist (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 held by the Union Public Service Commission (U.P.S.C.) on 18th February, 2024, the candidates with the under mentioned Roll Numbers have qualified for the Combined Geo‐Scientist (Main) Examination, 2024. The result is also available on the U.P.S.C.’s Website https://www.upsc.gov.in.

Union Public Service Commission has a Facilitation Counter at its campus. Candidate may obtain any information/clarification regarding their examination/result on working days between 10.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. in person or over Telephone Nos. 23388088, (011)‐23385271/23381125/23098543 from this counter. Candidates may also mail their representations at usgeol-upsc@nic.in .
Selection Process of Combined Geo ‐ Scientist Exam
** The candidature of these candidates is purely provisional at all the stages of the Examination subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. The candidates declared qualified are required to appear at the Combined Geo‐Scientist (Main) Examination, 2024 to be held on 22nd & 23rd June, 2024.
** The qualified candidates are further advised to refer to the Rules of the Combined Geo‐Scientist Examination, 2024 issued by the Ministry of Mines in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part I — Section 1 on 20th September,2023 and the Examination Notice No.02/2023‐GEOL. dated 20.09.2023 issued by the Commission, which is available on its Website.
** The candidates may download their e‐admit cards from the Commission’s Website around 01 week before the commencement of the Combined Geo‐Scientist (Main) Examination, 2024.
** Candidates are also informed that marks and cut‐off marks of the Combined Geo‐Scientist (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 will be uploaded on the Commission’s website i.e. https://www.upsc.gov.in after the entire process of the examination is over i.e. after the declaration of final result of the Combined Geo‐Scientist Examination, 2024.
** No request for change of Centre/discipline for the Combined Geo‐Scientist (Main) Examination, 2024 will be entertained under any circumstances.
Plan Of Examination :
The Combined Geo-Scientist Examination will consist of three successive stages (vide Appendix I Section-I below):-
Stage-I : Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) having two papers for selection of the candidates for the Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination. Marks secured in the Preliminary Examination will be counted for deciding the final merit;
Stage-II : Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination (Descriptive Type) having three papers for selection of candidates for the Personality Test (Stage-III). Marks secured in the Main Examination will be counted for deciding the final merit; and
Stage-III: Personality Test/Interview
