Pass Percentage of TN SSLC Result
** The TNDGE board exam for Class 10 was conducted at over 3,986 examination centers in the state.
** This year, as many as 8 lakh students appeared for the TN Class 10 exams that were administered by the board between March 26 and April 8.
The total number of students who scored a perfect 100/100 in the TN SSLC Result 2024 are as follows:
Tamil – 8
English – 415
Math – 20691
Science – 5104
Social science – 4428
Result Highlights :
Total number of students appeared for the exam: 8,94,264
Number of female students: 4,47,061
Number of male students: 4,47,203
Total students passed: 8,18,743
Pass percentage: 91.55% per cent
Female students padded: 4,22,591 (94.53 %)
Male students passed: 3,96,152 (88.58%)

Government schools: 87.90%
Government aided schools: 91.77%
Private self-financing schools: 97.43%
About DGE Tamil Nadu
The Directorate of Government Examinations has been entrusted with the onerous responsibility of conducting the Board examinations for the students studying in the State Board in Std X and XII. The mark certificates issued to the students of standard X and XII is considered as a vital and valued document for continuing higher education and for seeking job opportunities.
Apart from above, This Directorate is conducting examinations and issuing certificate for Diploma in Elementary Education , Government Technical Examinations and ESLC (Eight Std – Private Study). In addition , Scholarship Examinations such as NMMS, TRUSTS and National Talent Search Examinations are conducted by this Directorate.
This Directorate has 7 Regional offices at Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli , Chennai, Cuddalore and Vellore. The logistics work for transporting of stationery items related to examinations, distribution of fund for conducting examinations and and distribution of Mark Certificate are performed by this regional offices.
The Government of Tamil Nadu have constituted a new Board for School Examination in the name of State Board of School Examinations by merging the Board of Secondary Education and Board of Higher Secondary Examinations vide G.O.(Ms) No.26, School Education (V1) Department, Dated : 16.02.2011. It has been permitted to conduct a meeting and to take decision with respect to all examinations.
